THE priest son of Irish comedian Jimmy Cricket will attend a youth event for Catholic school pupils in Motherwell today.
Christian charity Aid to the Church in Need will hold their annual Scottish Youth Rally at Carfin Lourdes Grotto and Father Frankie Mulgrew is among special guests. Like his father, Father Mulgrew is also a comedian.
This will be ACN’s third Youth Rally in Scotland and follows on from last year’s highly-successful event where more than 1,000 school students gathered to show their support for persecuted Christians.
The day will include prayer, music, a dramatic reading, social media activity and participation from every school in attendance.
Each school, including Glasgow schools attending, will compose prayers for Syria and Iraq.
