ScotRail passengers have been left furious after signalling problems caused major disruption to several busy rail lines. 

Paisley rail commuters have been left to queue in the streets for replacement bus services after all trains between Cardonald and Glasgow Central were cancelled until the end of the day.

A Twitter user posted a video which shows commuters snaked round the streets of Paisley waiting in lines for public transport. 

ScotRail issued warnings of long delays this morning after damage was found to overhead wires. 

Staff are on site carrying out an assessement to see what repairs will be needed.

Replacement buses have been arranged and will be operating on a shuttle basis between Glasgow Central and Paisley with some will be directed direct from Glasgow Central towards Prestwick Airport and Ayr.

ScotRail have also requested more buses for Paisley due to high demand.
