A SPORT once seen as a hobby for pensioners is getting a revamp thanks to Glasgow school kids.
Youngsters from Knighstwood secondary visited Yoker bowling club to try out their skills over two taster days this week.
Club managers hope it gives more young people a taste for the sport, which they insist is fun for people young and old.
Constable Colette Farren, Knightswood campus officer, organised the sessions along with Glasgow Life.
She said:” The kids had a fantastic time, even though some of them were not too keen at first.
“I asked at the start how many kids thought they would enjoy themselves and nobody put their hands up, bt by the end everyone said they had been surprised by how enjoyable it was.
“It’s a great way to keep kids active over summer as well.”
