Fire services are currently attending the scene of a car blaze in Rutherglen.
An appliance has been dispatched to Cathkin Relief Road in the Fernhill area of the town where the Evening Times understands a car has been left burnt out in the middle of the road.
A user on social media also speculated over the incident earlier on this evening and posted an image of a car in flames with smoke billowing into the sky.
A Police Scotland spokewoman said cops were called to the fire at 5.25pm after receiving reports that a Mercedes car was in ablaze.
She added: "It's believed there are no injuries.
"The road is closed until further notice."
