While MPs have been getting into a fix about new rules which mean men do not need to wear a tie in the House of Commons, there are no rules about women wearing football shirts.
SNP MP Hannah Bardell revealed her Scotland strip underneath her jacket during Scottish Questions.
Ms Bardell was showing her backing for the national team ahead of their match with England in the Women’s European Championship
SNP MP Hannah Bardell said: I’d like to put on record my very best wished for the Scotland football team. I’m wearing my colours. I hope you don’t mind.
“I used to play alongside two of Scotland’s national players at university. Their career has obviously done better at football than mine.”
She went on to ask a question about HMRC closures in Livingston.
