Rehearsals for a new music show bringing together the different communities of women from across Scotland begin on Sunday August 20.

Seraphina uses music, song and dance to tell the story of femininity as told through the history of Witches.

It has a cast of professionals and community performers from all different backgrounds.

The production is being directed by conFAB an exciting, eclectic arts company that uses theatre, music, literature, film and dance to stimulate conversations about important social issues.

Rachel Jury of ConFAB said: "This is a really exciting time, after months of preparation things are finally coming together. This is going to be a really exciting and challenging venture. We hope it will inspire a conversation between communities in Paisley and across Scotland about how we can live together. We're getting down to some serious hard work ahead of opening night.”

Glasgow Times:

Former Glasgow MSP Rosie Kane is also performing in the show.

Ms Kane has worked with conFAB previously, taking part in their show ‘Miss Smith’, which was about poverty and inequality in Glasgow.

Rosie said: “Seraphina is going to be a great show. The music is fantastic and the story the show tells is really important. I’m really looking forward to opening night.”

The Seraphina company are rehearsing every week in Paisley up until the premier performance in The Wynd Auditorium on October 31 where it runs for a week.

The performances are being supported by Renfrewshire Council, along with the National Lottery’s Awards for All programme, and is part of the 2021 programme.
