YOUNGSTERS have proved that age is just a number as they gear up for a major running event in Glasgow.
Freya Brown, 7, from Glasgow and Anna Wadrop and Adam Khairi, both 5, gathered in George Square to help promote the Great Scottish Run’s Super Saturday family events which include; the Family Mile, Junior Run and Toddler dash. The events are taking place on Saturday, September 30, the day before the 10k and half marathon events.
Freya, who is from Glasgow and was born with a heart condition, will be going the extra mile to raise funds for the Children’s Hospital Charity.
Alex Jackson, from organisers the Great Run Company, said: “It’s fantastic to see so many children participating this year. From toddlers to teenagers, Super Saturday offers something for everyone regardless of ability. Whether it’s the Toddler Dash, Family Mile or Junior Run, it’s the taking part that really counts.”
