A 22-YEAR-OLD man was attacked in a flat in Shettleston in the early hours.
Police said the victim was assaulted by another man at a flat in Mark Street at around 3am today.
He fled the scene and went to family who live nearby. The emergency services were called and the man was given medical help.
Police said his attacker was black, aged between 23 and 30, around 6ft tall and of slim build.
When last seen, he was wearing blue jeans and a dark bubble style jacket.
Detective Inspector David Reilly, of Shettleston CID, said: “From CCTV we know that the suspect walked away from the flat along Shettleston Rd towards Darleith St, in the direction of Mount Vernon.
“We have been checking with neighbours as well as the CCTV to try and trace the man responsible but would also appeal to anyone who may have seen the suspect in the area yesterday morning.”
