DRUGS worth thousands of pounds have been seized after cops carried out several raids in North Glasgow and the East End.
The intelligence-led operations also resulted in the arrest of four men and one woman yesterday.
Officers say they have been arrested in connection with alleged drugs offences.
Two properties were first targeted at 5pm yesterday by cops acting under warrant.
They entered a property in Crowlin Crescent in Cranhill where they recovered a quantity of drugs.
Hours later, officers raided a property in Galloway Street in Springburn at around 8pm.
Two men, aged 37 and 41, and one woman, aged 29, were arrested in connection with the seizures.
As a result of both operations, officers seized approximately 600g of what’s believed to be cocaine, with an estimated street value of £24,000, and 650g of what’s believed to be heroin, worth an estimated street value of more than £34,000.
A further operation in the Possilpark area of Glasgow resulted in an additional two men, aged 43 and 57, being arrested in connection with alleged drugs offences.
The four men and one woman are expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court today.
