Sailors had to be rescued from a blaze on board a boat belching out thick black smoke at Largs Yacht Haven on Friday evening.
Police confirmed the incident occurred at around 6pm last night. There were no injuries and it is believed an electrical fault caused the fire.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue service dispatched two units to the scene.
Onlookers on the shore could hear 'popping noises' from the beach.
This weekend marks the end of Largs Regatta week at the Yacht Haven.
