If your name is Gordon, you’re in for a treat today as the Hard Rock Cafe is offering all with the name a free legendary burger.

To celebrate what would have been Freddie Mercury’s 71st birthday today, the bar is commemorating the day with Queen’s ninth studio album and the first soundtrack album Flash Gordon.

‘Freddie For A Day’ will be raising money for The Mercury Phoenix Trust - the charity set up by his bandmates and close friends Brian May and Roger Taylor.

All Gordons have to do is head along to the restaurant with a friend to receive one of the epic legendary burgers for free when another adult main course is purchased.

Valid ID must be shown to prove your name is actually Gordon, so chancers need not head long.

The venue will be getting into the rock spirit of things with the anthemic sounds of Queen playing throughout the day.

From 6.45pm, there will also be live music as Tom McGuire performs a one-man acoustic set featuring Queen songs and more.

And if that wasn’t enough to whet your appetite, staff are offering a guest burger for one day only - the tandoori chicken burger - which is a creation of Hard Rock Cafe in Mumbai where Freddie spent part of his childhood.
