A MAN with facial injuries had to be treated by paramedics after being found in Barrhead’s Main Street.
An ambulance was called to the scene and police were alerted by a concerned passer-by who saw the 47-year-old on the ground close to the Arthurlie Inns pub yesterday afternoon.
Although the man was only treated for “minor” injuries, it is unclear what caused them.
Police enquiries into the matter are continuing.
Sergeant Michael Morganthaler, of Giffnock Police Station, said: “A 47-year-old man was found with minor facial injuries outside the Arthurlie Inns on Monday afternoon at about 4.20pm.
“He was found by a member of the public lying on the street.
“We are still trying to ascertain the circumstances.”
