A MAN put police at risk after lying to police about uncapped syringes he had hidden on him.
Andrew Dolan, who Glasgow Sheriff Court heard has struggled with long term drug problems, was stopped and searched by officers on January 3 this year at Wyndford Drive, near his home.
The 43-year-old said he had been injecting cocaine but forgot about needles he still had with him.
Sheriff Gerard Bonnar warned Dolan for putting the cop's safety at risk and sentenced him to a Community Payback Order with a conduct requirement to engage with addiction services and a tag for four months.
