New dates have just been announced at Glasgow's MERMAID school after classes for 2017 sold out.
Due to popular demand organiser Lindsey Leeper has launched a series of new classes in January 2018.
If your child would like to visit the Merkingdom then now they can during this 1 hour long experience.
The sessions take place in a swimming pool with a qualified Mermaid Instructor.
During each session children learn the safety mermaid skills, the basic mermaid movements, take part in mermaid games and take a few photos or videos to help capture the memory.
Safety is important so children participating must be able to meet the following criteria:
- Be a minimum of 6 years old and maximum 12 years old
- Have size 4 feet or smaller
- Swim 25metres comfortably
- Be able to submerge their face fully whilst swimming
- Be able to tread water in both shallow and deep water
- Be able to lift their knees and turn 360degrees in both directions
- Be able to demonstrate a basic dolphin kick for 5metres
If your child qualifies then here are a few Mermaid dates for your diary:
