A MAN was found with a lockback knife in his possession in a shopping centre.
Paul Charles Sands, 34, was in the dock at Glasgow Sheriff Court after pleading guilty to the offence.
He admitted that he had a knife at JD Sports, Braehead Shopping Centre on November 6, this year.
Police found Sands with the knife after someone reported him.
Sands, of Pinkerton Lane, Renfrew, however, avoided jail and was given a Community Payback Order as an alternative to custody.
He will complete 120 hours of unpaid work in the community within six months.
He was also placed under supervision for a year.
