A WOMAN who assaulted a support worker has been remanded to hospital for treatment.
At Glasgow Sheriff Court, Samantha Hunter failed to show for punishment after previously pleading guilty to striking The Oaks Care Home employee on the head with her hand on May 21, 2016.
Hunter, who resides within the Glasgow Road care home, was reportedly too unwell to attend sentencing.
Following the recommendations made within the psychiatric reports available, Sheriff Shona Gilroy granted a Compulsion Order.
Instead of jail, the 34-year-old accused will instead be admitted to hospital for examination and treatment.
