A Glasgow MSP has urged people to donate old phones and tablets to help children in refugee camps.
Sandra White Kelvin SNP MSP wants people to back the Digital Classroom initiative which helps education projects in the camps.
The project sources equipment and with new phones and tablets being bought at Christmas there are plenty of old devices no longer wanted going unused.
Ms White said: “This is a great concept and an innovative way to ensure that some of the most vulnerable children, in desperate circumstances get the opportunity to learn.
“I’m delighted to back the Digital Classrooms campaign and hope that people realise their own unwanted gift from a Christmas past could make a huge difference to a young person’s future.”
