COPS are investigating the unexplained death of a man whose body has been pulled from a river.
The man, believed to be in his 40s, was recovered from the Forth and Clyde Canal at around 11.40am today.
The force said that the death was being treated as unexplained.
Access to the canal was blocked off at Balmore Road as officers carried out their investigations at the scene.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: "About 11.40am, the body of a man, believed to be aged in his 40s, was recovered from the Forth and Clyde Canal near Bishopbriggs.
"His death is being treated as unexplained.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
