ITS winners have included X Factor stars and support acts for major bands.
Now, SoundWaves Music Competition is coming back to Glasgow to find this year's top talent.
Tomorrow, 12 bands and singers will battle at O2 ABC in front of judges, music industry members and record labels to win a spot in the online grand finale to get the chance to tour the UK.
Last year’s winners The Smoking Bugler Band went onto support Chase & Status and Primal Scream.
Other winners include X Factor’s Sam Lavery and rock band As Sirens Fall, who went onto perform at Download Festival.
Acts from around Scotland will compete but Glasgow talent includes bands Eriska and Dominicide as well as singer Emma Gabarda.
More than 1000 performers applied to take part in this year's Soundwaves competition.
The music competition, now in its fifth year, is presented and judged by radio DJs, including Callum Gallacher.
As previously told in the Evening Times, the showcase for unsigned bands and singers gives performers the chance to show off their skills in front of music industry executives.
Tickets are still available for the show at Sauchiehall Street's O2 ABC.
