Police are investigating after a car stolen from Anniesland was found burnt out in Moodiesburn.
The silver BMW Mini car was deliberately set on fire on Muckcroft Road around 5.45pm on Thursday February 22.
Enquiries have revealed that the car had been stolen from the Anniesland area on Friday 16 or the early hours of Saturday February 17.
Constable Katrina Keogh at the Community Investigation Team at Govan said: “Thankfully no-one was injured during this reckless act however it is vital that we track down the person or persons responsible.
“Two men were seen near to the scene of the fire and they left in a grey Volkswagen Golf car as the BMW car was ablaze. I urge anyone who saw these men hanging around the area to contact police immediately.
“We also know that there would have been several vehicles travelling in both directions in Muckcroft Rd at this time and I ask these motorists with dash cam footage to come forward also.
"Anyone with any information that could assist enquiries is asked to contact the Community Investigation Unit at Govan Police Station via telephone number 101 quoting incident number 2867 of 22 February 2018. Alternatively calls can be made to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where anonymity can be maintained."
