A SOUTH Side social enterprise has revealed unique plans for a boutique hostel.

MILK helps support refugee and migrant women living in Glasgow and runs a cafe on Victoria Road.

Now the organisation has said it aims to open a hostel that will be "the best place to stay" for visitors to the city while providing "socially responsible travel".

And, in a twist, it will also give practical work experience, training and emergency accommodation for refugees and asylum seekers.

MILK staff are carrying out research on how likely people are to stay in hostels and what they want from accommodation while on holiday.

They have a survey online and are asked people to fill it in.

The social enterprise said on its Facebook page: "We have a plan. It's big and it's exciting and we want to get it right.

"We are going to open a boutique hostel that will not only be the best place to stay when you visit the city, it will also provide practical work experience, training and emergency accommodation for refugees and asylum seekers.

"We’re doing some research on how likely people are to stay in hostels and what they look for when they do.

"We’d love to hear what you think, this survey should take less than five mins to complete."
