A PENSIONER who vanished from a hostel at the weekend has prompted a police search.
Andrew Luke, 72, was last seen leaving the Princes Street Hostel in Ardrossan at around 12.15pm on Saturday, March 10 where he walked onto Glasgow Street in the town.
He did not return to the hostel later in the day which staff say is very out of character.
Andrew is described as 5ft 3 inches, of slim build with receding grey hair. When last seen, he was wearing a grey Tweed jacket, grey trousers, black woollen hat, black gloves and black shoes.
Sergeant Allison McIntyre, at Saltcoats, said: "Anyone who has seen Andrew since lunchtime on Saturday, March 10 2018 or anyone who knows of his present whereabouts is asked to contact police at Saltcoats immediately via telephone number 101 quoting incident number 4204 of 10 March 2018.
“I also appeal to Andrew to get in touch with either police or the staff at the hostel to let us know that he is safe and well.”
