RUSH-hour commuters are in for travel misery because of a signalling fault and a bridge strike.
The signal problem between Barrhead and Dunlop is disrupting trains between Glasgow Central and Kilmarnock.
Trains may be delayed by up to 30 minutes, cancelled or revised. A normal service is expected to resume by 18:30.
A bridge strike in the Motherwell area is also seeing services between Lanark and Glasgow be disrupted.
Services between Glasgow Central to Lanark will terminate and start back from Motherwell and a bus ticket acceptance is in operation.
Those who were relying on the route to get home may be entitled to compensation if they experience a delay in completing their journey today.
To do so, keep your train ticket and make a note of your journey, as both will be required to support any claim at scotrail.co.uk/plan-your-journey/our-delay-repay-guarantee.
