NEW Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has been snapped enjoying an Ibiza getaway with former Light Blues flop Phil Bardsley.

The 38-year-old was at Ushuaia Beach hotel to see top DJ David Guetta in concert.

Along with his wife Alex, Gerrard hooked up with Bardsley and his other half and Real Housewives of Cheshire star, Tanya.

In a snap uploaded to Instagram by Tanya, the 37-year-old WAG wrote: “Had the best night 🤩❤️ @alex_gerrard8 ❤️ wow I feel rufffff 😷🙈❤️”

Glasgow Times:

Bardsley, 32, was involved in a training ground-bust-up back in in 2006 with then fellow teammate Thomas Buffel, a fight that killed his Ibrox career.

Former Ibrox boss Paul Le Guen sent the on-loan player back to Manchester United after his challenge crocked the Belgian star.

As previously reported by the Evening Times, Bardsley recalled: “At Man United, we trained like we played - hard. But at Rangers, the manager was from a different culture.

“We had a training session and I went in for a tackle [on Thomas Buffel].

“It was a rash tackle, I suppose, but the lad was okay.

“But the manager stopped the game and sent me home. He said my attitude wasn’t right and that, to me, was a real insult.

“That was the end of my Rangers career.”

Gerrard spent his first day as Rangers manager watching England Under-21s on June 1.

On the day he was unveiled as boss at Ibrox, chairman Dave King admitted that the Liverpool legend ticked many boxes, but not all of them, hinting at his lack of experience in the dugout.
