A PAISLEY-BASED organisation is gearing up to do its bit for a worthwhile cause and is calling on kind-hearted locals to dig deep to help it reach its fundraising target.
A team of five from procurement body Scotland Excel will take part in this year’s Sleep in the Park in Glasgow in December – with a target of £3,000 to raise.
Julie Welsh, director of Scotland Excel, will be joined by four members of her staff to take part in the overnight sleepout.
Julie said: “Homelessness is sadly an issue that affects many people in Scotland and as winter approaches, myself and some of my team are preparing to take part in this very worthwhile event, aimed at ending homelessness.
"The sleepout will take place in four Scottish cities, and our fundraising target that’s been set by the organising charity Social Bite is £3,000.
“Scotland Excel has a strong track record of raising money for worthwhile causes and we’re proud to be taking part in this event. If anyone would like to contribute towards our target, we would be very grateful.”
Sleep in the Park takes place on December 8.
