INDIE star Richard Ashcroft has received a birthday card from his partner featuring the city's famous Barrowland Ballroom.
The former Verve frontman shared an image of himself with the gift and expressed his delight to his followers on the social media website Twitter.

He turned 47 on September 11 and tweeted yesterday: "Never got to show you my birthday card from Kate. This is real."
Ashcroft is married to Kate Radley, who was a member of the rock band Spiritualized.
He is due to play the Barrowland Ballroom on October 26.
The singer is best known for solo hits This is How It Feels, A Song for the Lovers and Music is Power. He shot to fame with The Verve who produced hits Sonnet and Lucky Man.
