GLASGOW has doubled as Philadelphia, New York, San Francisco and many other cities in recent years as it becomes the go-to destination for Hollywood film crews.

Now, it looks as though the latest blockbuster being filmed in the City Centre looks to replicate London.

Stuntmen on motorbikes have been snapped filming scenes for a Fast and the Furious spin-off, Hobbs & Shaw, starring Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Jason Statham.

A red London bus, with the destination set to “Edgware” and “Paddington” has also been seen on the square this afternoon.

As previously reported by the Evening Times, Luther star Idris Elba is apparently taking to the streets of Glasgow on Friday to shoot scenes.

It was reported earlier this month that Elba and Vanessa Kirby had been listed among the cast for the David Leitch-directed film – but it had not been known who would be involved in the Glasgow scenes.
