RUTH Davidson has given birth to a baby boy.
The Scottish Conservative leader announced she was pregnant earlier this year.
She shared the latest news on Twitter, writing: “Welcome to the world, little one.
“Finn Paul Davidson, born today, 10lb 1.5oz. Know that you are loved.”
The politician previously said she and her partner Jen Wilson were “delighted” to start a family.
The couple decided they wanted to try for a family last summer, and began exploring IVF treatment.
She said: “Like all new parents-to-be, we are excited – and daunted – about the months to come. Mostly, we are just overjoyed at the prospect of starting a family together.”
Her deputy Jackson Carlaw has stepped in to lead the Tories in Holyrood while Ms Davidson is off on maternity leave.
Welcome to the world, little one.
