DETECTIVES say they are treating the death of a man found in Clydebank as unexplained.
The 49-year-old was found in Braes Avenue close to the popular Centre 81 in the town at around 4.45pm on Sunday.
The force confirmed he was found dead at the scene. A post mortem examination is due to take place in due course to establish how the man died.
Detective Inspector Ogilvie Ross, at Clydebank Police Office, said: "Around 4.45pm on Sunday, November 4, 2018, the body of a 49-year-old man was found in Braes Avenue, Clydebank.
"The man was pronounced dead at the scene. A post mortem examination will take place in due course to establish the exact cause of death, however, in the meantime police are treating the death as unexplained.
"Police enquiries are continuing into this death, and anyone with information that will assist our enquiry should contact Clydebank Police Office through 101 quoting reference number 3068 of 4th November."
