A MAN has appeared in court after a motorcyclist died in a road crash in East Kilbride.
William McLean, 34, appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Monday charged with two offences under the Road Traffic Act.
His appearance comes after the death of Glasgow man Allan Nicholson who tragically lost his life in the crash on Saturday morning.
The 24-year-old was thrown from his bike on the A725 East Kilbride Expressway.
McLean, of Glasgow, is accused of death by dangerous driving. He is also accused of driving while under the influence.
He was released on bail and is expected to appear at court on a later date.
Allan’s twin sister Pamela previously paid tribute to her ‘beautiful baby brother’.
It is understood that the family are from Knightswood.
