GLASGOW has been urged to ring in St Andrew's Day with an annual torchlight parade featuring fire dancers and pipe bands.
Founder of the event and actor David Hayman will join hundreds to march through the city alongside Lord Provost Eva Bolander.
The event will take place on Friday, November 30, with participants gathering at Glasgow's Botanic Gardens at 6.15pm.
Those who have purchased torch tickets at £10 will get their torches and light up the gardens for the procession which kicks off at 6.45pm.

There will be a rolling road closure which from the beginning of the parade to its final spot at Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, where there will be a short performance from fire dancers and the pipe bands.
Tickets will be available on the night but those who fancy watching are encouraged to line Byres Road.

Wrist bands to participate without a torch for £3 are also available and kids who take part will get a free glowstick instead of a torch.
Michael Dale, director, West End Festival said: “The torchlight parade aims to unite people in Glasgow, bringing different communities and cultures together, bringing a real sense of pride and of course having fun at the same time.
“We’d like to remind everyone to dress for the weather and invite everyone participating to have their faces painted with the St Andrew’s flag. We’ll have face painters ready!”
A donation from every torch sold will be made to Spirit Aid, the chosen charity.
