As St. Enoch Centre begins to get into the festive season, shops throughout the leisure destination are already thinking about perfect presents and party outfits.

Santa’s Grotto, roaming reindeers and enough twinkling lights to put the milky-way to shame can already be seen around the centre and the festive spirit is everywhere.

Following a recent gift showcase, top stylist Julie Hanna has put together her favourite party pieces and gorgeous gifts to get you ready for Christmas time.

What to wear to the Christmas party?

Move over little black dress, this season is all about the little black outfit. Hobbs and Nine by Savannah Miller, both at Debenhams, feature a variety of luxurious textures and plush black fabrics such as velvet, satin and lace to mix and match and seamlessly create the ultimate black ensemble – with a hint of glitter courtesy of Topshop.

There’s also no better time to indulge in a bit of bling than at Christmas and why limit it to just jewellery – go for glitter with bold belts and bags. Embracing gold is perfect at this time of year, specifically rose-gold, so be bold and opt for a statement piece to set you apart under the mistletoe.

What about for men?

For men, this season is all about sharp tailoring but with a festive twist; such as a satin trim or a velvet smoking jacket for the ultimate Christmas indulgence.

Take inspiration from Mad Men’s Don Draper, or the ultimate man’s man James Bond and head to Debenhams or Burton which have some fantastic collections this winter.

Small Shop at St. Enoch, which will be popping up in centre from December 1, also have a fabulous selection of cosy jumpers, perfect for Christmas.

Make up

Christmas is the perfect time to experiment with a more daring look and of course add a touch of sparkle with a shimmering or glitter-based eye shadow such as the dreamy ones from Topshop.

It might be winter, but a light dusting of bronzer or highlighter will leave you party ready – again, Topshop has the perfect collection to suit all complexions.

There’s something for everyone this Christmas at St. Enoch including the chance to see Santa in his Grotto. Located outside Mothercare, a visit to the Grotto costs £5.00 and every little guest will receive a special Christmas gift from Santa in person.

For the second year in a row, Santa is opening his Grotto during specific “quiet” sessions, designed for children with autism or with sensory or learning disabilities or vulnerabilities. Quiet sessions will be held between 10am and 11am on December 2 and 9.
