CELTIC will take the reduced ticket allocation for their clash against Rangers, it's been confirmed.

Parkhead bosses were considering refusing the 750 tickets offered due to safety concerns ahead of the derby on December 29.

But the club confirmed they will allow fans to attend the Ibrox match.

A statement said: "Following the decision to reduce Celtic’s ticket allocation at Ibrox Stadium for our match on December 29, 2018, we can confirm that the 750 tickets received by Celtic will be distributed through the usual allocation process.

"All relevant information for this match regarding ticket distribution will be available shortly on www.celticf.net.

"We would ask that supporters who are attending are fully aware of all matchday, safety and travel information which will be issued prior to the match."

Hoops chiefs were angered by the Gers move to slash their allocation of 7.000 earlier this season.

The decision prompted Celtic to cut back the Light Blue's to just 800 tickets in September.
