RYAN KENT inspired Rangers to a famous Old Firm win over Celtic and admitted he would be open to extending his stay at Ibrox beyond the end of the season.

The winger moved north of the border on loan from Liverpool in the summer and quickly became an integral part of Steven Gerrard's side in the Premiership and Europa League.

But he produced his finest performance of the campaign so far on Saturday as the Light Blues moved level on points with their title rivals at the top of the table.

Now the 22-year-old could look to remain at Ibrox after revelling in a thrilling derby victory that ended Rangers' long wait for a win over their Old Firm rivals.

He said: “It’s something I’m considering. It’s a chat Rangers are going to have to have with Liverpool because I still have three years left on my contract there. So it’s a bit out of my hands.

“The honest answer is I don’t know what my future holds. That’s something Jurgen Klopp will have to answer.

“I’d be lying if I said I didn’t think it’s probably the biggest derby in the world. It’s most definitely up there, so to be a part of a victorious team is an unbelievable feeling.

“It’s an incredible feeling to come away with three points from such a big game. The boys were excellent throughout the game and we have set ourselves up well for the second half of the season.”
