Glasgow comedian Limmy has announced that his autobiography tour has sold out and no more dates are to be added.

Limmy: Surprisingly Down to Earth, and Very Funny will be kicking off in the city's West End at Oran Mor on March 1 but some fans hoping to get their hands on briefs for the show have been left disappointed after the comic's tickets were all snapped up.

The comedian took to Twitter to let fans know that there would be no more dates added to the tour which will also see shows take place in Aberdeen, Dundee and Inverness alongside seven other UK cities.

He wrote: "My autobiography tour is now completely sold out (no more dates to be added)."

Fans who were lucky enough to get their hands on tickets took to social media to express their delight.

Others were gutted that they missed out and eager to track down anyone selling the sought-after briefs.

One wrote: "Looking for tickets for Limmy's book show in March 2019. Get in touch if you have any spare!"

Another added: "Are there any more dates available?"

As reported by the Evening Times, it was announced that Limmy will also join Al Murray, Elaine C Smith, Jerry Sadowich and Russell Kane at this year’s Glasgow International Comedy Festival which kicks off on March 14.
