A JAILED fraudster who tricked his way to tens of thousands of pounds of cash and goods has failed to renew his private hire car driving licence.
Licensing chiefs rejected James White's renewal application after hearing from a police representative yesterday.
Mr White, whose earliest release date is in July this year, was caged for two years for fraudulent activity between January 2011 and August 2015.
His licence had been suspended until yesterday's rejection.
Police Scotland's representative also told councillors how Mr White had put his former partner in "a state of alarm" in February 2017.
The cab driver had constantly messaged her via text and social media as well as turning up at her address.
