Alex Salmond has appeared in court charged with two attempts of rape and multiple counts of sexual assault.
The former First Minister has been charged with nine counts of sexual assault, two counts of attempted rape, two counts of indecent assault and breach of the peace.

Mr Salmond made no formal plea in court and was released on bail pending further examination.
Speaking outside court Mr Salmond made a statement insisting that he is "innocent of any criminality" stating that he would defend himself "to the utmost".
The next court date is yet to be set.
