A Scottish charity are asking for volunteers to face their fears and walk over hot coals, to help raise vital funds in the fight against breast cancer.

Breast Cancer Care Scotland's, Firewalk Glasgow organisers are hoping that generous Glaswegians, will go the extra mile and stride across burning hot coals in aid of the charity.

With temperatures exceeding 1200C, hot enough to melt aluminum, each participant will undergo essential training, including motivational and psychological methods, in preparation for the firewalk.

The minimum age limit to participate is 16 years old, but friends and family are encouraged to attend on the night and cheer from the sidelines.

The event is due to take place on Thursday, March 7 at GHK Rugby Club, Old Anniesland.

Registration costs £20 and organisers ask that volunteers raise at least £110 to take part in the Firewalk.
