A teenage boy has died after being found in a stream.
The 16-year-old was discovered around 7pm on Saturday, near Old Duntiblae Road in Kirkintilloch.
Emergency services raced to the scene and pulled the teenager from the water before he was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
He was then pronounced dead.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "We were called at around 7pm on Saturday, March 2 to reports of a person within the water near Old Duntiblae Road in Kirkintilloch.
"Emergency services attended and the 16-year-old male was removed from the water and taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
"A post-mortem will be carried out in due course to establish the exact cause of death which officers are currently treating as unexplained.
"A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal."
