A MAN is being treated in hospital after being attacked in Newton Mearns earlier today.
Police and emergency services were called to Crookfur Road at around 12.30pm.
A 36-year-old man was found injured and is being treated at Glasgow's Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

The extent of his injuries are not known at this stage but it is understood he may have been attacked with a knife.
Crookfur Road is currently closed between Harvey Avenue and Abercorn Road.

A police spokeswoman said: "At around 12.30pm, police were called to a report of a 36-year-old man being assaulted on Crookfur Road in Newton Mearns.
"Emergency services attended and the man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital to be treated for his injuries.
"Inquiries are ongoing."
