A YOUNG man has been left with a “very serious” head injury after he was punched and hit his head off the ground amid a street fight early on Friday morning.
A group of men and women were outside the Bistro Fast Food takeaway on Sauchiehall Street at 3am when a fight broke out involving around five men.
One of the men involved in the fight punched an 18-year-old man in the face, causing him to fall and hit his head off the ground.

The victim was assisted by members of the public who called for an ambulance and he was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he is currently being treated for a serious head injury.
His condition is described by hospital staff as very serious, but stable.
Police are now looking to trace witnesses.
The suspect was last seen heading in the direction of Charing Cross and is described as white, around 17 to 20-years-old, approximately 5ft 7 and of slim build with brown hair.

He was wearing a blue zipper top with a white zip, red collar and red hood.
Detective constable John Fagan, at Stewart Street, CID said: “We are anxious to speak to anyone who was in the vicinity of Sauchiehall Street at around 3am this morning, Friday, May 10, and who either witnessed the incident or perhaps saw the suspect making off afterwards.”
