OUTRAGED parents have blasted a family musical singalong event as a "shambles".

On Saturday, hundreds of people descended on SWG3 for a entertainment-packed singalong session of the hit Disney film Moana.

However, angry mums and dads say kids were left disappointed with the lack of organisation and the minimal amount of entertainment on hand.

While others said they left the event, which was organised by LadyBugs, amid safety fears due to claims it was overcrowded.

One mum wrote: "We tried to make the best of it and the girls did enjoy it but only because they then made their own entertainment.

"But there was no structure, no one actually organising the event on the day. No one knew what was going on, far far too many tickets sold for an event that’s for children; no safety regarded in that sense at all.

"The organisers are silly not to address this as myself along with many others will never go to an event organised by Ladybird again.

"SWG3 have to take some blame in this also. I attended a Prosecco festival in this venue also and that was also not very well organised and again far too busy; that must be on the venue too as a ticketed event they are promoting."

Another added: "Was a shambles and felt totally unorganised."

While another said: "We also thought it was a shambles - only the five kids at the front could see Moana - why wasn’t she on the stage the whole time?

"And the acoustics /screens were awful. Face painting queue was far too long and the bouncy castle and 'beach' far too small - kids had best time playing with the ball they won.

"Just too many people and no one knew what was happening or when - shame as it had so much potential."

Parents attempted to contact the organisers claim they have been ignored and SWG3 have said it is unable to assist their complaints.

It comes as the promoters came under fire for a previous event held at the venue in December.
