A WOMAN was left badly shaken after being assaulted during an attempted robbery in Toryglen on Monday. 

The 58-year-old was walking her dog in Glenmore Avenue when she was approached by two men who pushed her to the ground at around 4.30pm. 

The pair then tried to steal money from her but left empty handed.

Police have said the woman was uninjured but left shaken-up as a result.

Officers are appealing for information after the incident, and have released descriptions of the two men. 

The two men are described as white, 5ft 4 inches – 5ft 5 inches in height and in their early twenties. 

They were both wearing dark coloured clothing.

Detective Constable Mark Milroy of Helen Street Police Office said: “We have been carrying out enquiries to identify the two men responsible for this attack and would ask any members of the public who may have seen this incident take place, or who has information that will assist our enquiries to please come forward.”
