The killer of Alesha MacPhail has not had a visitor to see him in jail for months, a source has said. 

Aaron Campbell, 17, was convicted earlier this year of murdering the girl, 6, on Bute last year. 

Now, family and friends have reportedly abandoned Campbell after he admitted raping and killing the child after snatching her from her bed.

Sources say that the 17-year-old has been "left to rot" in his Polmont Young Offenders cell, and that his parents refused to visit him on his recent birthday. 

A source told The Scottish Sun: "Not a single person has visited him since he was sentenced in March.

“He even spent his birthday alone — like every other day.

“Admitting he’d done those terrible things to wee Alesha was the turning point for his family.

"He denied it for months and put her loved ones through hell. He’s evil.”
