A MAN suffered a serious eye injury after a brutal attack outside a McDonald's restaurant.
Pawele Lawniczak was set upon by thug Kenneth Collins, 29, last November.
Jurors heard claims Collins called the victim a "Polish c***" before punching him as he stood in a queue at the takeaway in Glasgow's Maryhill.
Mr Lawniczak's eye was so badly fractured he could not see out of it for a month.
Collins now faces a jail-term after he was convicted of assaulting the 41-year-old to his severe injury.

An allegation the attack was racially aggravated was removed by the jury.

Mr Lawniczak told Glasgow Sheriff Court he remembered little of the incident after being knocked out.
He said: “I was standing in the queue at the McDonald's takeaway window for 15 to 20 minutes from what I remember.

“I don’t know why I was assaulted, I am not the aggressive type and I’m not argumentative.
“I don’t know what happened before it as I was unconscious for a few minutes.”
Witness Brian Lambert (37) claimed Collins "said something about Polish c***" before punching the victim up to three times.
He added: "The man rebounded off the McDonald's window and fell.
"There was bleeding to his face and eye."
