SPA treatments for people affected by cancer will be available at local hotels for the first time later this year.

Macdonald Hotels and Resorts, whose collection includes Crutherland House in East Kilbride, is the first group in the UK to offer the service.

In partnership with specialist skincare company Jennifer Young – Beauty Despite Cancer, the hotels will provide spa treatments and specialist products for people living with and beyond cancer.

The collection has just been launched at the Inchyra near Stirling and will be rolled out to the group’s other spa hotels around the country throughout 2019.

Emma Leadbeater, Macdonald Spa Director, said: “The decision to launch this range of products and treatments was driven by the demand from those living with cancer who are frequently unable to pamper themselves with conventional spa and beauty treatments due to sensitive skin and nails, a common consequence of chemotherapy and radiotherapy.”

Staff at the hotels have received specialist training to deliver the service.
