Social media reports suggested the runway at the busy airport was closed, but a spokesman told The Evening Times that the landing had not affected the rest of the airport.
Emergency services were called as a precautionary measure.
The spokesman also confirmed the plane requested to land after a medical emergency.
The Evening Times has approached Air Canada for comment.
