POLICE are seeking the public's help to identify a man who died on the railway.
British Transport Police officers are appealing for any information that could help find the loved ones of a man killed at Newton train station on Sunday, June 16 at 6.45pm.
Paramedics attended but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident is not currently being treated as suspicious.
Police said a number of extensive enquiries have been carried out by officers since the man’s body was discovered.
Despite these, they have still been unable to identify him and inform his family.
The man was white, wearing a large navy North Face hooded top, a black Bench jacket, blue jeans, dark JCB socks and black Adidas ‘LA’ trainers.
Anyone who may have information about the man’s identity is asked to contact BTP as soon as possible by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 395 of 16/06/19.
