A Glasgow football club has taken a swipe at the David Turnbull transfer saga - by joking he subbed Celtic for them.
Cheeky Maryhill FC, however, were referring to a different Turnbull - the one who loves the fizzy favourite vimto, and comes in at 18 and a half stone.
Their new goalkeeping target shares the same name as the Motherwell wonderkid who has been locked in negotiations with Celtic FC.
Feel the need to clarify something. We have been asked repeatedly if David Turnbull has snubbed Celtic for Maryhill. Yes & no. We are currently in talks with Turnbull, but not the same one. Our DT is a goalie, 42 yrs old, 18 & a half stone and loves rolls n chips & cans of Vimto!

In a tweet Maryhill FC joked: "Feel the need to clarify something.

The post went viral on social media with fans lapping up the cheeky jibe.
Goalkeepers are told to make themselves a big target. Your boy seems to have succeeded admirably

You better tie him down on a lengthy contract

By the sounds of things it won't be long until your Barca's and Real's come calling
