SCOTRAIL has warned commuters an IT issue is preventing passengers from being able to pay for and collect tickets using cards.
The rail provider posted details of the incident on Twitter and said more information is yet to come.

The team wrote: “We're dealing with an IT issue which may prevent customers from using their card at our ticket machines and booking offices. You may also experience issues when trying to collect pre-purchased tickets, we're sorry for any inconvenience. More updates to follow.”

Passengers are being urged to keep an eye on ScotRail’s social media for updates.
